Keep animals off the streets and out of the pound.
The Paws Squad depends on passionate, dedicated volunteers across the country to fulfill our mission. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn a new skill, and make a real impact on our community. There are many ways to be a part of our team. No matter how much time you have, we can use your help. To get started, click the link below to complete the Volunteer Application. If you prefer a hard copy, please send us an email.

Foster
Transport
Once we coordinate a rescue with a partnering shelter, we often need help transporting the animals to the shelter. We have a cargo van, or you can use your own vehicle. Some trips are within an hour, one way, while others can be as long as five hours. We often need to transport animals to and from foster homes or to the veterinarian.
Foster homes are so important to the success of our mission. Fosters provide a chance for dogs and cats to escape the harsh conditions of the pound and live in a safe, comforting environment until we can find a rescue partner. We provide food and pay medical bills while the animal is in your care. You provide love and attention. The average length of a foster commitment is a few weeks.
Photograph
Partnering shelters want to see photographs and videos of the animals in the pound so they can get a feel for their personality before deciding to accept them. Without this information, it is difficult to arrange rescue. Our volunteers visit the pound to provide visual evidence of an animal’s current health, temperament and social skills.
Raise Funds
We rely on loyal supporters both locally and nationally. We often need help coordinating fund raising events within our community, but you can help even if you live out of town! Consider hosting a fund raiser in your city and help us with our mission. We also are in need of help from someone experienced in grant writing.
