Since 2013, we have saved the lives of over 7,000 unwanted dogs and cats in Logan County, West Virginia.

The Paws Squad is a no-kill rescue with adoption and foster programs made up of a few community volunteers dedicated to saving the lives of animals in jeopardy. We provide refuge, aid and care for unwanted, abandoned and abused animals from the county high-kill facility to protect them from the threat of euthanasia. The Paws Squad is the only group pulling animals from the Logan, WV pound.

We ensure the animals are cared for both emotionally and physically by foster families prior to their rescue and/or adoption into loving, responsible homes and strongly support spaying and neutering so that the number of unwanted animals in the state of West Virginia can be kept to a minimum.
